Sacramento Discovery Museum-July 10th

While we were in town visiting Robert's mom in Sacramento, we checked out the Discovery Museum Space and Science Center. It didn't look very large, but it had a wide variety of science and nature activities for the children to enjoy. I purchased a family membership there for several reasons. First, it was more cost effective to get a membership for all of us for a full year, than it cost for us to pay admission one time. Second, because we were planning on checking out several museums along our Oregon trip, and this museum was part of the Association of Science-Technology Center's Passport program, it definitely worth it for all the other admission fees we would spend. Here are some pictures from our day there.
The younger ones dressed up like dinosaurs

The Allen Family of dinosaurs-take one!

The Allen Family of dinosaurs-take two!

Robert taught Gabriel about scales

Matthew learned about types of rocks.

Elijah made prints of dinosaurs.

Rebecca hung out with the dinosaurs!

Matthew thought this was hilarious. Boys!

Our niece Paula came along with us for the trip.

The past two weeks have been an incredible journey for me and my family. Time away from our "reality" has done so much good for our family-in more ways that I can count. I have amazing stories to share, pictures to post (some of which made it to FB before my phone broke last week), and so much more about our future plans. If this blog has been neglected for awhile, so be it. It is what it is, but the rest is going to be written.
